This week's Blog of the Week is a blog our human sister Kate found when our family first started to think about getting a hound;

Winnie's Dog Blog

This blog originally charted the life of Winnie the greyhound, who was adopted by the Pritchard family in August 2010. Winnie has sadly now passed away but her legacy lives on in the form of the dog who took over the role of family hound - Monkey! Or as Mac likes to call him, "Cousin Monkey" (Mac has a lot of cousins).

Monkey was adopted in April 2013 and so Kate has found it interesting to read about his adventures and maybe see the kind of trouble we might cause her. From our point of view it's always nice to keep in touch with family members and sometimes see the lovely sights of Burton-on-Trent. The blog has easy terminology so that even a first time reader know who all the human characters are - Lady of the House (LOTH), Man of the House (MOTH), Boy of the House (BOTH) and Girl of the House (GOTH).

It's also nice to see another UK greyhound blog, as much as we love our friends in the US we feel in the minority sometimes and like to look out for friends who might have met us on the racetrack.We have some friends however they're not into the whole blogging scene, although our friend Bootsie is a Rover Reporter for the Greyhound Rescue Fife newsletter so that must keep him busy (sorry for the name dropping, we are very honoured to be considered friends of Bootsie and invited to join him on his Sunday afternoon walk).
